This project proposes to realign a segment of State Road (S.R.) 50 to the north of downtown Groveland. The change will enhance safety, livability and walkability within the downtown area. The existing one-way pairs are expected to become city roadways. The project will include a portion of the South Lake Trail, which is part of the Coast-to-Coast Trail.
Intersection improvements at S.R. 19 and S.R. 33 are also planned as part of this project.
Right of way acquisition for this project is in progress.

The Sampey Wastewater Treatment Plant Upgrades and Expansion Project will be a multi-faceted project that will improve the existing health of the plant by upgrading the current facility. Upgrades include the headworks, a new fine screen, two washer-compactors, a spray field, an in-plant recycle pump station, an alum feed system, an aerobic digester, biosolids dewatering, and emergency power generator upgrades. Meanwhile, improvements will be implemented in areas such as biological treatment, secondary clarifier, RAS/WAS pump, tertiary treatment, disinfectant, reuse effluent pump, and onsite reject ground storage systems. This project will also include a new reject ground storage tank, which will provide capacity for an additional 1.5 million gallons of reject storage. This project is vital to the residents of Groveland, as it is the heart of existing users.

The Water Meter Replacement Project will replace approximately 5,200 existing water meters with new Neptune Fixed Network Radio Read water meters and all supporting infrastructure. The Neptune system includes cloud-based data collection and management, so no City IT Network or computer improvements are proposed with this project.

The Villa City Water Treatment Facility & Water Main Project intends to create an alternate water supply of 4.3 million gallons per day (MGD) and implement a treatment, storage, and distribution system for water infrastructure. Main will extend for 2.5 miles (16,000 ft -/+) and connect to Main on US 27.
The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is conducting a Project Development & Environment (PD&E) Study to assess transportation needs and potential improvement strategies along State Road (S.R.) 19 between S.R. 50 and County Road (C.R.) 455 in Lake County, spanning approximately 9.4 miles. The effort aims to support future needs and enhance safety. Potential roadway improvements under consideration include widening from two to four lanes.
